Ozymandias, Part II (redux)
You may recall this:
Well, today I have the stunning news that Kill George is now:
77th bestselling book in the “Anglicanism” category!
I didn’t realise that Rowan Williams had written 76 books.

I have less of an axe to grind than some others with the threatened, albeit the presumably less than fully sentient, Mr. Hebert.
However, this being said, I do find myself frequently having to remind myself that it must certainly take much more than three minutes to produce the electronic theological output of the Three Minute Theologian.
Would you perhaps consider doing with less sleep, fewer meals, giving up vacations and perhaps dropping the occasional round of pastoral duties (after all what do they really matter?) to up the output? And by the way, “Anglican Roots” is not half-bad either!
Keep this up constantly please.
(And perhaps you can comfort yourself that perhaps in due time you can trump the ABC with all-time movie grosses or something).
Thank you this.

Thanks Boularderie.
As for neglecting sleep and pastoral duties to produce 3MT, all I say is: everyone has to have a hobby, and it’s better for it to be a theological one than the clergy’s traditional hobbies of model railways, bell ringing or nervous breakdowns (!).

I thought Rowan had written more than 76…

This year alone…?

An image I thought you might like: a pig farmer turned priest said to me this afternoon that he felt (in some parishes) that the Rector was like a sow lying on her side with all the piglets coming to feed. (ie only the incumbent is expected to do the work)
Thought you might appreciate that!

That is (horrifically) brilliant. I think, once more, you have given me the title of my next book: Suckling Sows: The Christian Priest Today!
